Agentic coding setup for engineering teams
Get your engineers shipping faster with Claude Code, Cursor and Codex, without the bugs and security holes AI code brings along.
The short answer
Updated
Agentic coding is when an AI tool like Claude Code, Cursor or Codex writes and changes code across your repo, not just the next line. I set it up for your team: instructions in each repo, rules for what the agent may touch, review steps and tests that catch its mistakes. Setup takes 2 to 4 weeks.

Coding agents type fast. Someone still decides what gets merged.
Coding agents can now take a task, read your codebase, write the change and run the tests. Used well, a small team ships what used to need a bigger one. Used badly, you get a lot of code that looks right, passes a quick glance and breaks something next week. One large study found 45% of AI-written code failed basic security tests.
I use these tools every day on my own work, so I set your team up the way that works for me. Clear instructions in each repo, small tasks with a written spec, tests first, and a review step before anything merges. Then I work alongside your engineers until it's habit.
A good fit if
- Your engineers use AI tools, but everyone does it differently
- AI-written pull requests are piling up and reviews can't keep up
- You've found bugs or security holes that came from AI code
- You want a small team to ship like a bigger one, without cutting corners
What you get
- 01
Instructions in every repo
Files like CLAUDE.md and AGENTS.md that tell the agent how your code is built, tested and styled, so it stops guessing.
- 02
Rules for what agents may do
Which commands they can run, which files they can't touch, and what always needs a person, like migrations, payments and secrets.
- 03
Review gates and tests
Automated checks on every pull request, security scans for AI-written code, and tests that must pass before anything merges.
- 04
A team that knows the workflow
Hands-on sessions with your engineers on real tickets, plus a short guide for whoever joins next.

Questions people ask
How is agentic coding different from autocomplete?
Autocomplete suggests the next line. A coding agent takes a whole task, reads the files it needs, makes changes across them, runs the tests and tries again when they fail.
Which tool should we use?
It depends on your team and your code. I've used Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and Copilot on real projects, and I'll tell you honestly which fits. Most teams end up with one main tool, not four.
Can a coding agent handle a big upgrade?
With the right limits, yes. I recently upgraded a SaaS app from Laravel 7 to Laravel 13 in 3 days, with Claude Code doing most of the typing, tests after every step and every change reviewed before it was kept.
Is AI-written code safe?
Not by default. It often skips permission checks, puts secrets in the code or pulls in packages that don't exist. That's why the setup includes security checks and a person reviewing before anything merges.
Will this replace our engineers?
No. It changes where their time goes: less typing, more deciding what to build and checking what the agent did. Good engineers get more done.
How much does it cost?
It's quoted after a short call, based on the size of your team and how many repos are involved.
How long does it take?
2 to 4 weeks to set up. The setup itself is quick. Most of the time goes into pairing with your team on real work.
What do you need from us to start?
Access to your repos and CI, a few real tickets to work on, and an hour a week from whoever leads engineering.
