File 001About
I'm Hussain. I've been shipping software since 2008.

I grew up in Surat, studied computer science at Veer Narmad South Gujarat University and graduated with the gold medal. My first job was leading a small web team. My second was tech lead at Zycus in Mumbai, building enterprise software that people used all day and complained about loudly. That taught me more than university did.
In 2014 I started Araneux, a dev studio back home in Surat. We've built web apps, mobile apps and backend systems for clients around the world. Between 2017 and 2019 I went deep on blockchain and led smart contract work on four products. They're under NDA, so they stay unnamed here.
When language models got good enough to do real work, I moved my focus there. Today most of what I build is AI that sits inside a business: agents that triage and act, assistants that answer from a company's own data, and the product around them. These days I lead engineering on a handful of AI products for other founders, and in 2026 I started Altrun to put all of it into a product of my own.
I work best embedded with a client team, as a forward deployed engineer, on whatever hours the team keeps. I learn the workflow, scope what's achievable, build it, and stay accountable once it's live, including the messy parts. Most clients who find me on Upwork end up working with me directly for years, over Trello or Jira, email and WhatsApp.

Record
Eighteen years, three waves.
Web first, then blockchain, then AI. Each one taught me something the next one needed.

How a project runs
Demos are easy. Production is the job.
I work as a forward deployed engineer: inside your team, close to the people who'll use what we build, and on your hours.
- 01
Sit with the workflow
Before any code, I watch how the work gets done today. Who touches it, where it breaks, and what "done" means for the business, not just for the ticket.
- 02
Scope what's real
A short written plan: what we'll build, what we won't, and how we'll know it works. AI projects fail on vague scope far more often than on bad models.
- 03
Build and ship
Small releases in front of real users, early. You see working software every week, not a status report.
- 04
Stay through production
Live systems break in ways demos don't. I stay for the messy part: debugging live, shifting requirements, the integration nobody documented.
Toolkit
What I build with.
Models, frameworks and the plumbing around them. The list moves every few months and I move with it. If your team uses something that isn't here, I'll pick it up and tell you honestly how long that takes.
Forward deployed

I keep flexible hours and move my day to overlap with yours, whether that's a morning standup in New York or a late release in Sydney.
